News release

Weir Minerals has launched its first service centre in Poland to deliver increased support to its growing customer base in the country.

The centre is strategically located in Leszno in the west of the Poland, which is well placed for road-transport infrastructure and allows fast access to customer locations across the country.

As well as providing a convenient location for off-site repair and maintenance works by a team of engineers permanently based at the centre, the site will also hold strategic stock to minimise delivery times for replacement parts.

The service centre is further supported by a team of mobile engineers. The new location also includes a permanent office for the Weir Minerals sales team in Poland.

Weir Minerals’ key customers in Poland include Copper producer KGHM, the Rybnik, Patnow and Belchatow power stations and chemical and fertilizer ZA Puławy.

Jaroslaw Kukawski, regional sales manager Poland at Weir Minerals, said: “Weir Minerals already has a strong presence in Poland, having supplied mining, quarrying, recycling and other industrial businesses here for over two decades.

“The new facility means we can get closer to customers and prospects around the country, improving the service we already provide and developing our proposition for winning business.

“An important part of this is the step change the facility will allow in the after-sales support we provide our customers, with emergency response times improved and delivery times for spare parts significantly improved.

“Poland is a key market for Weir Minerals, and this investment demonstrates our commitment to working with Polish businesses to help them get more productive and more efficient.”

Weir Minerals Europe delivers end-to-end solutions for all mining, transportation, milling, processing and waste management processes across a range of industries and in more than 30 different territories.
